  Welcome to Rathskellers.com, an online reference to Rathskellers Artist Studio and Gallery featuring the work of multi-media artist Wendy Ruska-Ellis. 

   Ellis recently completed a body of work entitled, Elements of Discord, shown at the John, B. Davis Gallery. The work depicts the story of a teen murder in a rural community. The entire body of work contains 23 related works that are in a wide variety of mediums including, clay, textiles, canvas, acrylic, wood and charcoal.  Forms of this show are in 2D and 3D with a few interactive works. Ideally the artist would like to sell or show the body as a whole. Ellis views this work as a resource to use as an educational and public awareness project on the lives of teens though out the US in College Campus galleries and museums. Elements of Discord” is a chilling look into the thoughts of a teenaged victim, her killer and their peers.  Read the artist’s statement and see samples of the work in the Gallarie.
